ALL NITE MOVIE NITE & FREE CHILD CARE NITE The Youth Group has movie nights from time to time. Sometimes prior to the movie night, we offer our service to the community, of free child care for 4 - 5 hours. All 6th - 12th grade youth and their friends are invited to join us for a night of babysitting & games, followed by movies, discussions, food, fun and more! We allow the teens to stay up all night if they so choose, although most end up zonking out about 3:00 - 4:00 a.m. Although most of the movies we watch are secular ones, our discussions focus on where God is in the story. How does God touch the people's lives or how do they relate to God, or not. While we don't have all the answers, the discussions help us look for God in ALL things, and perhaps make us search more for answers to the questions that are brought up. |

FREE CHILD CARE & ALL NITE MOVIE NITE 2004
FREE Child Care by the Youth Group, was provided for the community on Friday, Feb. 27th, followed by a night (12 hours) of movies, discussions, food and little sleep!
Youth Group members played games (red light - green light, fish - fish, shark, badminton games & more), helped color pictures, and took good care of the children entrusted to our care.

FREE CHILD CARE & ALL NITE MOVIE NITE 2004
The Youth Group members showed the children how to color. Some of the older kids seemed to color MORE than the little ones did! We offered childcare for ages 6 months - 5th grade.
The Youth Group members did a great job of providing fun and entertainment for all!

FREE CHILD CARE GAMES
Our theme for the night was "Inside Beach Party". Each child went home with a Hawaiian lei, and a prize too!

MOVIE NITE CONTINUES AFTER THE CHILD CARE
After the child care part of the night, Youth Group members settled in to watch movies, eat mass quantities of food, have discussions, and some even slept…. the last of the teens didn’t fall asleep until 6:00 a.m. Sat. morning. After a couple of hours sleep, breakfast, & some major clean-up, they headed home to sleep some more, no doubt! (Click on thumbnail for larger pic.) |
